About Wayang Kulit
Wayang Kulit, or Balinese shadow puppetry, is one of Southeast Asia’s most celebrated traditional art forms. Puppets, carved from intricately painted leather, are brought to life through light, shadow, and music. Directed by the puppeteer, or dalang, this ancient performance art combines storytelling, movement, and music into a dynamic cultural experience.
The Jaga Alam Project
Lutung and the Storm is part of the Jaga Alam Project, an initiative that creates environmentally themed traditional plays for children and families. The project focuses on inspiring awareness of environmental stewardship through culturally rooted stories and performances.
